Your modules for the Master's in International Management
Your 60 ECTS master’s programme trains you in the various areas of international business such as strategic management, leadership and management in a globalised world. The module “Wirtschaftsethik und Corporate Governance” increases your awareness of ethical issues in the international business world.
Our wide range of electives includes options such as Corporate Finance and Investment, Sales, Pricing and Brand Management, Supply Chain and Sourcing Management, Advanced Robotics 4.0 and Big Data. After graduating, this makes you eligible for positions such as international brand manager, international community manager, international business development manager, international talent acquisition manager or international business analyst.

What does the job market look like for you as a professional in the field of international management? Diverse! What’s more, well-paid and exciting opportunities (for promotion) await you. You may work in the following positions:

As an international project manager, you are responsible for the planning, implementation, and coordination of projects in global companies. You manage complex projects with an international focus and involve the different business areas and functions. Your tasks may also include setting project targets, allocating resources, monitoring project progress, managing stakeholder relationships, and risk assessment.
As an M&A analyst, you are responsible for the analysis and evaluation of mergers and acquisitions between companies. You perform financial analyses to evaluate potential M&A transactions. But you do even more: besides identifying potential acquisition candidates and conducting due diligence checks, your daily business also includes developing recommendations and decision-making bases for management.
As an import-export manager, you are responsible for planning, organising, and overseeing international trade activities. This includes coordinating the transport logistics of goods across borders, as well as taking into account customs and trade agreements. In addition, you deal with identifying business opportunities, monitoring trade risks, developing business relationships, and implementing compliance regulations.

Alternatives to the minimum grade (60 ECTS credits)
If you have completed your bachelor's degree with a final grade of "sufficient" or grade D equivalent to the German grade “ausreichend” (up to 4.0), you can still be admitted to a master's or MBA programme. For this, you need:

Depending on your previous education, the following entry options are available for the 60 ECTS master’s degree:
undergraduate degree with 240 ECTS: direct access
undergraduate degree with 210 ECTS: you can bridge the gap of 30 ECTS by delivering proof of one year of qualified professional experience
undergraduate degree with 180 ECTS: you can bridge the gap of 60 ECTS by delivering proof of two years of qualified professional experience
Note on qualified professional experience:
Qualified professional experience of one year in full-time employment must be acquired after completing your undergraduate degree and fully documented when starting the study programme. The qualified professional experience from a dual study programme in Germany cannot be used to bridge missing ECTS credit points.
Recognition of knowledge and abilities acquired outside of higher education is possible in principle.
The alternative admission requirements represent individual exceptions to the aforementioned General Admission Requirements and ensure that you are qualified to access a master's degree programme. Admission is granted at the discretion of the institution.
Depending on your personal circumstances, you might be required to provide proof of your English language proficiency. Your skills would need to match the B2 level of the Common European Framework (CEF). We accept the following English language skills certificates*:
TOEFL (minimum 80 points) or
IELTS (minimum 6,0 points) or
Duolingo English Test (minimum 95 points) or
Cambridge Certificate (minimum Grade B)
Note: Proof must be provided before starting the study programme and must not be older than five years. Is English your native language, or have you graduated from an English-speaking school or institution of higher education? Then you do not need to prove your English language proficiency.
