The online study programme in Nursing is aimed at nursing staff who have completed their vocational training. With our programme, these candidates have the opportunity to complete further academic training with a Bachelor’s degree in just three semesters. Based on prior knowledge, 90 ECTS can thus already be recognised automatically, which reduces the standard period of study by half.

Why study for a Bachelor’s degree? The demands placed on the nursing profession are becoming increasingly complex – not least due to demographic shifts. The government has reacted to this challenging situation by bringing in the Nursing Professions Act (Pflegeberufegesetz) with the aim of achieving the partial academisation of this key sector. Nursing professionals can now be better prepared for the growing challenges that lie ahead – such as the rise in increasingly older, more multimorbid people, chronic and geronto-psychiatric illnesses, digitalisation and more individual lifestyles – through scientifically based training. Nursing at a higher education level will make a significant contribution to solving these challenges and it will afford nurses the opportunity to develop their knowledge, help people in a more targeted way and work more professionally.For a more enjoyable and humane future, experts with plenty of flair and the right expertise are needed to make a difference in the long term.

During your online study programme in Nursing, you will learn to research and evaluate new findings in nursing science, to design evidence-based nursing processes and to carefully prepare, accompany and motivate the nursing team for the ensuing changes.
